Popular NCT member is called out for alleged attitude problems

NCT wishessay Yushi is currently facing major criticism on online communities. A viral post claimed that “his personality is too unique to be an idol.” While uniqueness may be positive for some, in this case netizens are calling out their unusual reactions to the situations in which idols are placed.

One such example was his response to a fan at a fansign. The fan asked him some questions, to which he simply gave short and short answers.

Fan: “What a failed fansign. I really just got an autograph and came home.

Me: If you were a fan, whose fansign would you want to go for?

Yushi: None.

Me: Dan, what’s your favorite song at the noraebang?

Yushi: I’m not really going to…

Me: Please write to PS.

Yushi: What’s a PS?”

The fan claimed that Yushi definitely knew what a PS was.

During a video call with another fan, a fan specially went to the beach to get their call, so they could show Yushi the sea. At Yushi’s lukewarm response, the fan asked if he didn’t like the sea, to which he confirmed with a “yes.”

On another occasion, a fan tried to be nice to him, only to receive curt replies.

“Me: I heard that in Japan, if it’s not family or someone close to you, they usually call each other by their last names. Since we’re kind of awkward with each other, should I call Yushi at Tokuno instead?

Yushi: (After thinking for a long time) Yes.

Me: What? Okay, so how can I get closer to you?

Yushi: …I don’t know.”

In another fansign, a fan asked Yushi to draw her as a vegetable. He drew a broccoli on his album and allegedly started laughing at himself. Later, fans realized that he stated in an interview that he once hated broccoli.

Another time, a fan asked Yushi to “come to Weverse regularly as it was also part of the job.” Yushi replied with a simple “lol.”

While the various cases were all detailed in a post, netizens started questioning why fans were into him.

• Why did they debut him?
• What is its charm?
• Because fans still love him even if he acts like that LOL.
• It’s FR only fans complain but they still love him… Even if they are treated like this they will still love him.
• Honestly, his personality is quite unique…

This is not the first controversy he has been in. Recently, Yushi was called out because his alleged ancestor was a general during Japan’s occupation of South Korea. The allegations are currently yet to be confirmed despite Yushi’s surname and background matching the said general.
