The screenplay is written by India’s National Film Award-winning writer Shahi Kabir, who previously worked with Boban on “Officer On Duty” and is also known for “Nayattu” and “Joseph.” The story centers on a police officer whose already tense home life becomes even more precarious when he reopens an unsolved case with a clear supernatural dimension, and his grip on reality loosens as he deepens his investigation.

Boban said, “‘Madame Un’ is a work about the madness that quietly builds up inside a person. My character is conflicted between responsibility and doubt, and as events unfold, his world begins to change in an unexpected direction. It is a role that requires both emotional intensity and self-control.”

The music is by Mujeeb Majeed (“Kishkindha Kandam”), the action is by Kalai Kingson (“Marco,” “Bhramayugam”), and the cinematographer is Arjun Seth. Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar present in association with Panorama Studios. It is co-produced by Ram Mirchandani and Rajesh Menon, with Abhinav Mehrotra serving as creative producer.

“Unmadham” is part of a Malayalam film co-produced by T-Series and Panorama Studios. The film released “Anomie” starring Rehman and Bhavana earlier this year and “Tikitaka” starring Asif Ali is also scheduled to release soon. Panorama Studios has also entered Malayalam. Co-production partnership with actor and producer Nivin PaulyCentury Film signed a distribution partnership with overseas distributor Pas Film. ‘Unmadam’ will be released on August 7th.
