Berlin, March 26, 2026 – The Document Foundation today announces the simultaneous release of LibreOffice 26.2.2 and LibreOffice 25.8.6. These two maintenance updates are targeted at tech-savvy and power users, and at users in production environments, respectively. Specific options are available from ecosystem companies for enterprise deployments.
Thanks to the efforts of a large community of volunteer translators, LibreOffice is available in 120 languages, enabling more than 5 billion people to use the software in their native language rather than a foreign one. For these and many other reasons, LibreOffice is the best software for digital inclusion and digital sovereignty.
The Document Foundation would like to thank all developers, whether volunteers or employed by ecosystem companies, for their strong commitment to maintaining the quality and health of the code base. Thanks to their efforts, the LibreOffice technology platform is the only one that enables the development of open source office packages that protect users’ interests in terms of privacy, content ownership and management.
LibreOffice versions 26.2.2 and 25.8.6 are available to download for Windows, macOS and Linux at www.libreoffice.org/download/with different versions for Intel, Apple and ARM processors.
LibreOffice users, free software advocates and community members can support The Document Foundation and the LibreOffice Project by donating to www.libreoffice.org/donate/.
