Held Saturday, May 30 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas as part of the three-day CrimeCon convention, the annual event recognizes true crime content in television, film, podcasts and publishing.
CrimeCon announced the Clue of the Year Award nominees on Thursday, revealing that Jeffrey Epstein survivors Jena-Lisa Jones, Haley Robson and Courtney Wild will receive the Crime Fighter of the Year award. Jones, Robson and Wild were also recognized for their work with The Survivors, Inc., which focuses on supporting sexual assault survivors.
Additionally, the Clue Awards announced the 2026 finalists for the “America’s Best Detective” award for Law & Crime: Tara Augustin and Alyson Dupouy, Maryland Montgomery County PD detectives who helped solve the cold case of Leslie Preer. Retired Las Vegas Metro PD Sgt. Jenn Benjamins, who founded Covert Blue LLC, a law enforcement training company; and South Carolina’s Richland County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Vicki Rains Pearson recently appeared in the Netflix doc “Missing: Dead or Alive.”
