The new CNN show 1:1 sees CEOs interviewing each other.

CNN is launching a new business interview series. The new Business Interview series will have participants interviewing each other.

Cable news channels are starting what’s called 1:1 call with CNNIt’s a place where business leaders sit down with each other for what they hope will be an enlightening conversation. 1 to 1 It launches today on CNN’s subscription streaming platform and is also available on YouTube.

The first episode features a conversation between world-renowned chefs and entrepreneurs Eric Ripert and José Andrés. The second episode features Pinterest CEO Bill Ready and Venmo co-founder Iqram Magdon-Ismail. Future episodes will feature Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe, Sierra co-founder and OpenAI Chairman Bret Taylor, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla, and Accenture CEO Julie Sweet.

The show expands CNN’s presence in several places. As a digital-first series, it seeks to expand the value proposition of a subscription product, and as a business-focused series, it seeks to build intimacy and authority in a space where CNN has ceded some ground in recent years. Of course, CNN has always been about business, but as it builds out its subscription segment, business has become a bigger strategic priority.
