Per Video Olaf Robot Malfunctions and Collapses at Disneyland Paris

In a video that went viral, the Olaf robot Disneyland Paris He is seen speaking to park visitors before freezing (mid-sentence). It then falls backwards, with its detachable carrot nose bouncing on the ground. Two park employees quickly arrive and pick up the malfunctioning animatronic device and move it away.

The video, shared by Belgian Disney fan site Magic Tour Club, has been viewed more than 4.6 million times on TikTok alone since it was uploaded on Monday. (Watch the clip below:)

The world of Frozen has officially opened with the wandering Olaf robot. Debuts Sunday at Disneyland Paris.

Disney debuted the Olaf robot at Disneyland Paris in November 2025. The robot has articulated mouth, eyes, carrot nose and arms, and can even speak and engage in conversation, the company said. “Every gesture and detail, from the way he moves to the way he looks, has been crafted to reflect the alive, curious and unmistakable version of himself Olaf audiences saw in the film,” the company said at the time. According to Disney, Olaf the Robot’s eye-like sparkle, which “catches the light like fresh snow,” is enhanced with iridescent fibers.

The company said Disney Imagineering worked closely with the film’s original animators at Walt Disney Animation Studios to ensure that Olaf’s “every gesture felt true to the character.”
