How would you describe Ryan Gosling’s style?

Above all, I would like to describe his style as clearly his own. In my book, these are the core tenets of style. To briefly explain: It’s effortless, unique without feeling over-the-top, and solid without being over-the-top or cliched.

How has it changed over the years and how would you compare it to his “Barbie” media coverage?

I think his street style has remained consistent because it’s connected to who he is, rather than what trends develop at any given moment. Clearly, Ryan wears color well and over the years he has embraced interesting colors combined with great tailoring. Are you kidding?? I took it from “Barbie” and shaped it, and I’d argue it’s now one of the most iconic Stetsons of all time. You like vintage. How does this collection pay homage to this?

Everything I do stems from my love of vintage and classic design. My journey with vintage started out of necessity because I couldn’t see what I wanted in stores. This line is exactly what I wish was available from a brand I admire and an iconic logo I grew up with.

In general, men’s red carpet dressing has become a bit more experienced in recent years. What are your favorite trends right now? Who do you think is an underrated dresser?

I’ll let you in on a secret here. Red carpet dressing is of little interest to me because it is so performative and calculated in nature. But the more you break down the rules, the more interesting things become. I want to know who that person is in that context, not how they handle red carpet trends and expectations. I’m a big fan of Lewis Pullman and Jesse Plemons’ recent style.
